THE RULES

A silent auction works like a live auction, in that the person who bids the highest wins the item. In a silent auction, the bidding is conducted on bid sheets, without an auctioneer. At 6:45 pm, the bidding will close for the silk scarves, and then at 7 pm for the rest of the auction items. The winners of the silent auction items will be posted at the Orchards Hotel on or about 7:30 pm. We will process the winning bids (you can pay by check, credit card, or cash) and take the item(s) home with you. If you must leave before 7 pm, please leave your credit card on file with a WESE representative. Please note that donor values indicated are donor estimates and not warranted for tax purposes or fair market value. Each bidder recognizes and agrees that WESE, WES, and/or the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation cannot be held responsible for any personal injury or property damage resulting from the use of any auction item or purchase.
